Once upon a time...
A little girl was playing in the garden. She cut herself and was taken
to hospital. There she was given a test dose of medication, and reacted very
badly. For a few days her parents stood by, hoping she would recover. She did,
and her parents were relieved, but what if she were given this medication again
– would she survive then...?
This little girl was lucky - her father took action and started an organisation
called MedicAlert®- making bracelets which warned medical
professionals of medical conditions or allergies which could be of vital
importance when treating patients.
