The Arthritis Foundation of South Africa is a patient-oriented non-profit organisation working to empower people affected by rheumatic and musculoskeletal diseases through advocacy, education and support.
The Foundation provides non-medical support to patients, their families and carers through education and support programmes, and advocates for the interests of people living with arthritis in government, medical and media circles. A central part of its work is raising awareness and reducing the stigma that still surrounds these conditions.
Its national office is in Cape Town, with regional centres in Gauteng and the Eastern Cape.
